A racially diverse crew of thrill-seeking robbers abandons one of their own during a heist, forcing them to confront the consequences of their criminal campaign in one chaotic night.

CCR: What was your favorite part about being on set and leading the production of "Campaign Ride"?
Young: My favorite part about being on the set of Campaign Ride...well there were two things. I loved the comradery and seeing the actors in full costume. I really enjoyed meeting the new faces and seeing the actors dawn the costumes that took a bunch of hard work to assemble.

CCR: Were there any challenges you faced on set? How did you overcome them?
Young: There were a few challenges leading to and on set. We had three different locations back out on us at the last second, the masks we wanted to use were strobing in the camera, getting an actor for one specific character was difficult due to the dialogue in the script and balancing the gimbal was eating our time at the location we locked.
For the location issue, we made a contract and had paperwork for every question or concern at the ready. For the mask, I worked with my DP to dial in a look that still delivered the feeling I was looking for. We abandoned the LED expression mask we wanted to use and went with a solid mask. For the actor issue, I stopped looking online and through ads, I went around scouting by foot and conversing. We also had backup plans at the ready so when the gimbal wouldn't balance, I made the call to abandon it.

CCR: Now that production is complete, what are you looking forward to most in the post-production process?
Young: Now that the production is over, I'm most looking forward to seeing how the cuts come together. I love watching clips after for improvement, kind of like athletes watching their game tape.

CCR: Anything else you'd like to share about the process or shooting weekend?
Young: Filmmaking is hard work. It's teamwork. Planning ahead means everything. If I didn't have the team I had, especially Alex and Stephanie, I don't think it would've turned out as well as it did. We experimented with some things - some worked and some didn't. Feeding your team is important! Our catering was amazing and I think the cast & crew loved it. It was all a fantastic experience. Thanks to my team. Thanks to the Cleveland Camera Rental team. Thank you Don, for putting it all together!
